On one of my many visits to the infamous Mabry Mill along the Blue Ridge Parkway, I decided to back-track the water stream that feeds the water wheel. Way up on the hill, I came upon this striking play of shadows.

Thanks, Mike.

It was just one of those things, you know....something a little unusual just catches your eye.

It is a good thing that you went off the beaten path. Very nice picture.

Thanks for the visit and for commenting.

My wife says that the propensity I have for going off the beaten path is going to get me arrested or shot one day. Dayemmm....those are harsh words. Truth is, when I'm out chasing barns and such, as I have for years, I do lose track of where I am sometimes. Not that I'm lost, but I do need to remain aware of other considerations.

Thanks, Don.

Even though it was a bitter, really cold day at the mill, I'm still surprised I was able to get a shot with no people in it.
