back in 2006 we raised chickens

Not sure what this bird was; but it could get in the gage by diving through the netting. It never harmed any chickens
I was able to get it out without harm. Strange thing is the bird did not mind being picked up or handled. After the third event it did not come back.
So what is it?

What is the pink thingy in the tree? Does it belong in the main channel with the rest of this thread?

the bird was not upset when I picked him or her with up welding gloves on my hands. The bird never beat its wings or tied to bite. Maybe it understood I was not a threat.

My wife who is a avid bird feeder and watcher says she is pretty sure it's a coopers hawk. We have a pair here that hunts the bird feeders and squirrels that we feed. I guess we are feeding the hawks also. Lol

Thanks for the ID. Lately we see few hawks and falcons. The falcons we see do not take the squirrels.
