Canon 600 or 800 RF lenses

Both these lenses are F11 so I was wondering if I will have trouble focusing with the R6 Mark II? My wife wants me to get lighter lenses due to back problems. TIA

I bought the 800 mm (to use on my R5) back when the 100-500 mm was on backorder everywhere. I found that it performed well when the light was good. However, not as sharp as the 100-500 proved to be. In low light situations the autofocus struggled. I ended up selling it.

Canon EOS mirrorless technology is not limited by ancient DLSRosaur failings. These f/11 RF lenses will autofocus alone, and with either the 1.4x and 2.0x tele-extenders, on the numerous R-mount EOS MILCs, including of course, the EOS R6II.

Not a low light lens.
The R6 MII has a much better AF than the R5 for small aperture lenses.
Look up the Jared Polin video review of actual use in real life situations.
He is not the usual Nikon fanboys that trash Canon in their reviews.
He gives the good and the bad in an intelligent way, so you can decide.
Now remember the R6 MII is better than the camera he tested on so keep that in mind.

Thank you and I did a search but I wanted the opinions of unbiased people that used it under real life conditions.

Lens rental is pretty cheap to try one first if a local camera shop can't let you try one.

I experimented and prefer the RF100-400 with TC1.4 over the RF600. I found the RF100-400 to be so much more flexible in terms of usage scenarios.

When a man has no reason to trust himself, he trusts to the responses on UHH.... And yet, one could easily look at their calendar and pick a long weekend / week and rent the item being considered and make their own informed judgement, if they're unsure of their ability to read and / or watch other's lens reviews of that same equipment.
