Thanks, Don. No, that'll be a little too crowded for me. But I do plan to go back in spring--perhaps around mid-April. Is that a good time to go?

Everyone should experience Mardi Gras at least once Voss! Google "French Quarter Fest" and see when it is. Dozens of music stages set up all around the French Quarter. No charge, you just wonder around from stage to stage. It is held in March or April if I remember correctly. This would be a good time to go. It runs for 4 days.
