The amazing thing is, the company is in Los Cerritos CA and it is only 415 miles to Casa Grande. They are estimating arrival Jan 23-26. They must have reinstated the Pony Express. Just ranting because time is of the essence, I'm getting older...😉😉😉

Not really Pony Express. I sent a package from Sachse, TX to Kerrville, TX which is 299 miles away. My package went to Los Angeles CA before it came back to TX. So they took a long time but the couldn't have done it with the ponies. I see why they lose money though.

I don't remember all the details but the gist of it is: The founder of FedEx submitted his business plan as some kind of college assignment and was ridiculed by the professor who said it was the silliest thing he had ever seen. The plan was to ship everything to Memphis and then redistribute from there, even if the final destination of the package was only across town. We all know how that turned out, but we also know the most expensive way to ship anything is by FedEx...

Yes, but I believe Amazon shows the town.

And? What is the interest relative to photography?

I am getting five new tires for one of my old cars today. How does this concern anyone if not about photography?

Well it's expected delivery dates of January 23-26 was way wrongness it showed up yesterday. By the way it was a piece of photography equipment, thus my convoluted reasoning for where I originally posted it.

I’ve been experiencing the same thing with Amazon order’s lately.
I was expecting an order for delivery on Monday. Now it’s coming between today and the 20th. Sometimes you need a product when it’s promised. That’s why you order it.
Here’s 2 clips from the delivery message:

The package is now in Boca Raton 2 towns South of where I am in Boynton Beach. Less than 20 miles. I’m thinking of calling UPS or whoever is delivering it and seeing if I can pick it up.

I’ve been thinking about canceling any order that’s delayed any time this happens to teach the vendors a lesson. If everyone who this happens to does the same thing it might send a message to Amazon and their vendors.

I’ve been experiencing the same thing with Amazon ... (show quote)

Many ‘Amazon items come from outside suppliers and they are the ones that delay the shipping time. I live near your address and lately I have been purchasing accessories for my new camera, some items arrived on time but the ones from camera vendors they often are not on time. eBay is worse especially the vendors from China.

I'm my case the third party vendor turned it over the next day to the USPS. I guess I shouldn't complain due to the fact it arrived 6 days earlier than their earliest expected arrival date.
