I tried something really different for me. I started with shooting late afternoon light coming through a thick glass on my counter top. I made everything but the light streaks black and added an amber to gold gradient. Then cleaned up some of the few stray streaks with levels. The 2nd image was the original.
Comments and suggestions always welcome.
Very cool, Bev. What I particularly like is your ability to see potential in that light streak. Keep your eye out for more, and present as a series!

Great idea, thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep my eyes open for additional ways of showing light.

Once you start to look for light in this way, you'll be amazed at the variety of reflections in objects and surfaces
A very interesting subject. I will now be looking at light rays differently, for similar presentations.

I like it a lot. I have some experience with similar and similar via associates. It is pretty much unique here on the UHH. Do more and share them.
Image #1 stands alone it is so strong. I see it and think of the upcoming SpaceX suborbital shot.
Strange, there is not much there, but perhaps that is its strength. I tip my hat to your NikonGal
Thank you for showing the starting image, Light is so fluid and free for us to play with.
The original is begging for gray-scale to color via look Up Table, LUT, conversion endless possibilities.
The first one is quite striking.
Your vision of the streak of light was masterful!
