If she were black and shot by law-enforcement for attempting to l**t a Walmart I'm sure you would be fine with it right?

Just by being there she had already violated several laws. And by ignoring law-enforcement orders and attempting to breach the barrier she became a threat to both law-enforcement and to members of Congress. The use of deadly force by law enforcement was entirely justified.

She was both a t*****r and an i***t.

Absolutely. I spent 32 years in law enforcement. That was a bad shoot. That officer
should be sitting on a prison bunk right now instead of getting that promotion.
I think he was scared so bad, he would have shot anything that started through that door.
The only threat from her was, the officer was going to crap his pants if she got in.

Regardless how you feel regarding the events of J**6 and I understand we all tend to view it through our rose colored glasses if you were listening during any use of force training, run through many shoot/don’t shoot scenarios coupled with years of actual street level law enforcement experience you would describe that shooting as you did. Watching the C*****l P****e reaction generally they appeared to be under trained, unprepared and overwhelmed. I mean no disrespect to them, it just seemed they lacked proper training, experience and centralized command.

I provided a link to the results of the actual investigation and these folks think they know more (based on a few seconds of video) than the actual investigators who had access to the real evidence.

I am under no illusion that Babbitt was any kind of hero and she ultimately chose to inject herself into that scenario. You know as well as I that the agency investigating these shootings, absent heavy public scrutiny, are going to protect the officer and even the courts allow great deference towards officers in these situations. That being said, while working fugitives, narcotics and special investigations I was in several situations where a bad guy was actually armed and I was able to prevent what would have clearly been a good shoot. As was pointed out this guy, as many of the shootings that are scrutinized via cam footage, was scared s**tless and over reacted. Looking at the conduct of many officers, and things may have changed, this agency showed little signs of adequate training. They were building guards, not cops.

I'm willing to hazard a guess that you have seen no more video of this incident then I have. And a few seconds of video does not make anyone an expert on what actually happened. And if you have not read the actual report of the investigation you should before youforn am opinion opinion about whether or not it's biased. You have presupposed that the report is a cover-up and this is based only on your existing belief--not real evidence.

Also I have no opinion on the quality of the training of the officers involved but we do know this: if she had not attempted to crawl through the broken window to gain access to the Speaker and other members of Congress she would in all likelihood still be alive--although she probably would be in prison which is where she would belong Head she survived.

I conceded she put herself in the situation which ultimately led to her demise but you too saw much tape and you saw some officers in the fight while others seemed to be escorting the shaman around while others were passive and seemingly no central control/command. Based on my experience in r**t situations I am convinced there was clearly training and planning deficiencies. Anyone who can’t come to that conclusion is asking for similar scenarios in the future. It was reported that yesterday pro Palestinian protesters tore down a portion of the Capitol fence. No reported arrests, go figure.
