I wonder how Negril is after 50+ years.
When I was there there were no telephone service in Negril.
The exchange rate was $0.88 Jamaican for an American dollar.
We stayed at a place called "Yellow Bird" cabins, it had 185' beach frontage.
We sent $150 american to a woman in Minnesota, and we got a two bedroom cabin, with hot and cold running water
and a cook for a week.
Not bad for two 22 year old boys on their first vacation.
