Each application has its own requirements. Would you enter a pickup truck in an F1 race? Bring your lumber home in a Jaguar convertible?
I never shoot landscapes below ISO 400 because the scenes don't have a wide DR. A higher base ISO of 250 is not necessary. I don't shoot them wide open either since most lenses best at f/5.6 or f/8. Even wildlife does not need a wide DR.
But if I were shooting sports, I could take advantage of the A9 III. The global shutter might easily trump all of the things I would be giving up.
And since I print my best work, 24MP is more than enough resolution. At higher resolution nobody can see the difference.

Dont know about the present but in the past the upper speeds were available only at mid and smaller apertures. The blades travel in shorter motions that way.
