The colored sky distracts from/conflicts with/overpowers the subtlety of the foreground.
I see a much better picture by just rolling up the viewing screen and hiding the sky.

It emphasizes the subtlety and nuance of the frost compared to the trunks of the trees. I like that idea as well.
