I once saw a bunch of sandpipers standing on the shore. For some reason, they all took off.
There was a big bunch of, I think it was marbled godwits that were standing farther back. They slowly walked to were the other birds were standing but had left.
When they came back, their territory was taken, it was chaos, as the godwits had taken the territory and would not give it up.
