Intentional Camera Movement Using Your SmartPhone.
In the simplest terms, ICM can be defined as photographic capture while intentionally moving the camera during the exposure. This image was created using my IPhone 13 Pro Max along with the Slow Shutter app.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slow-shutter-cam/id357404131 * I believe there are Slow Shutter apps available for Android users.
For this image I used the Motion Blur setting along with the Shutter Speed set to Bulb.
My intention was to create a multiple exposure image. My steps:
1. I opened up the Slow Shutter Cam app on my IPhone and chose the Motion Blur, Blur Strength to Medium and the Shutter speed to Bulb.
2. Next I chose a starting scene, hit the shutter button and moved the phone a bit and then hit the shutter button again. Once the exposure is stop you are presented with a few choices:
Clear: Allows you clear the image and start over
Edit: Multiple editing choices, one being Freeze which allows you to adjust the strength of the blur.
Save: Hit Save and the image will be Saved to your Camera Roll.
Tip: If you just hit the Shutter button again, and move you Phone around it will take the exposure overtop the previous exposure. You can continue doing this until you get an image that you like.
This is a fun app to play with and will produce some interesting Slow Shutter artistic looking images. *Think: People walking or standing on the street. Cars moving down a road, Trees, flowers, etc.
That’s interesting, almost avant garde in nature. I sort of looks like a pencil drawing. Pretty cool. Thanks for that info. I’ll have to bring up my slow shutter app.

Warning, it can become addictive.
