As some others have said, masks do help.
But I think how much they help depends on quality, tightness, proximity, and duration of being around people.
If you are around a lot of people for an extended time, your odds of not catching from an infected person goes down even with a tight fitting N95.
But it's funny how we've become mentally done with C***d, even though C***d is not done with us.
I had heard that those common blue masks were not effective against C***d. I tried one when cutting wood and spray painting, and it was like I wasn't wearing any mask at all - wh**ever that proves. I used the N95 masks.
