Took a wet stroll through our front woods looking for targets of opportunity. Typical rainy PNW day. 39F, moderate soaking rain made everything wet. Dark day, had to use my Z 70-200 f2.8.

Birds were seen moving through our front woods so I followed. It should be noted that the birds were Wet in these images. The rusty cast over the upper head and eye of the last Northern Flicker shot was caused by a nearby dead needle branch. Interesting effect I think.

Cool set Timothy I really like the Northern Flicker. I have only one shot of a Flicker and it's not nearly as good as yours. A quick pass with the Remove Tool in PS will remove those out of focus twigs in front of them.
