There are times when there isn't enough time. The independence is great. Relaxing and doing nothing is a contagious and dangerous thing. Far too easy to fall into that trap. Looking back at the shoulda, couldas makes you wonder why you didn't see that you shoulda took the other path.
Being the optimist that I am I use the negatives to keep me moving forward.
86 and looking forward to paying off my house in about 12 more years. Would prefer to still be working, and lucky that my wife does work a lot at 77 being the workaholic she is, and Thai Chef, she runs her son's restaurant when he needs her there.

I just turned 74! Like you, I did love working but now I can't see myself working for anybody but myself (and my wife! LOL) I look back and anything I missed, I try to do now. With the world the way it is today, I live like there won't be a tomorrow! I welcome every day as an opportunity to learn something new.
