One of my textures, one from another source. Two of my photos, and two of my brushes (horses and barn). Constructive criticism welcomed!

I live in the country and grew up during WW2. City lights were not allowed... Blackout was the rule. The sky was magic the fields were open, the world was quiet, except for bugs noises, and horses were feeling free in the evening breeze.

The texture looks as tho done with colored tissue paper saturated with dilute white glue. The paper was thin and had wrinkles and multi-layers changed the color saturation.

Indeed a beautiful image Linda

Nicely done Linda! My only subjective comment would be the red at the top is a bit distracting and my eye is drawn to that leading me out of the frame. Again, a really nice looking art piece.

Thank you all very much for your time, observations and suggestions. Someone mentioned maybe night should be a little darker, and include stars other than what I thought were already a galaxy-type feel. Since I did an edit for that person, I'll share here also. I'll try without the red moon (??) also. Thanks again!

Nope. Like the original better.

I think it's very nice. The composition is good, and the colours are pretty. My only niggle (and it's a tiny one) is that on the lower right there are a couple of small vertical lines. One bisects the angled line at its lightest. Those vertical lines create a question mark, as I can't figure out what they are.

Thanks very much for your time and attention to detail, Kathy. I've learned that often, if a stray line or color originated in the texture file, all I have to do is go to the texture and smooth, erase, change color etc.

This is easier and usually more satisfying than trying to clone or otherwise adjust after merging the layers.

I’m liking this second rendition. The colors for me are more impactful.

I enjoyed all the elements in this image. I liked the use of the birds in the bush, yet felt the 2nd rendition of the image was just a bit too dark.
