I'm just getting around to posting this image of a buck deer that visited us on Christmas. This seems to happen quite often - a buck will visit on Christmas. He stayed around with me taking pictures and a family walking on the sidewalk. Didn't seem to mind all the attention.

Great photo. They have adapted well to civilization. When we lived in the Village 7 area in the Springs, we would have them jump the fence into our back yard, wander through the garden and then into the cul-de-sac and visit all the lawns. Our friends that live in the Rockrimmon area have them almost year around in their neighborhood and I see them every time we visit. It’s fun to walk up and take pictures.

We have them around all the time - just not the big bucks. It's always a challenge to grow flowers around here. I'm in Erindale - not far from Rockrimmon - they are able to go under the interstate. With all the wild life - sometimes it's like living in a zoo.
