Hello, While I am not so new to UHH I have never posted any pictures and have made few comments. I have taken pictures since the 50's as a hobby and the first time I ever picked up a camera started this happy curse. My first camera was a Brownie my mother gave me with one roll of film. Twelve pictures, black and white. I don't remember any of those pictures except one I took of a black and white cat sleeping in a hole in a tree. That picture was so far better than the rest it always bothered me as to why? Over the years I have searched for that quality picture and I almost achieved it a time or two. Photography is strictly a hobby and I only photograph what I want and I only took pictures for my and my wife's pleasure but she passed away 6 years ago so I only have to please myself. I have never sold or tried to sell any picture I have ever taken. I must say I enjoy seeing and reading other people's pictures and comments and each day I always have those who I watch for. I live in Southeast Iowa where there aren't the great views others have but we still have opportunities to capture good pictures. Being a member of our small town city council I have the opportunity to go to the sanitation ponds, usually because there is a pumping problem, but I can also enjoy the sunsets over those poo ponds. No there is no smell. If I ever figure out how to post a picture maybe I will post a poo pond sunset but for now you all will just be happy with the grand canyon or other sunsets.
