Finally the Cedar Waxwings came back after several years. They come in force to attack our decorative cherry tree. What I don't understand is that when they come, they come mixed in with a large flock of Robins! Today the weather is heavily overcast.

Our cedar waxwings also like to join the robins to eat. I assume it is for protection from Cooper's hawks, etc. The more birds in a flock, the more potential warnings of a nearby predator.
