Very happy to see that you're still finding awesome vehicles to photograph!
WOW!!!!! Great photos, some of your best. America sure USED to make some beautiful automobiles. Not so much anymore.
I always wonder what the sales numbers would be IF an auto manufacturer would resurrect something like this. A modern engine could be used, up to date safety enhancements and so on but basically the outward appearance and inner luxuries of these older automobiles.

That is a Beautiful old Car.. Thank you for Sharing.. In the mid Fifties i worked in a Gas station and the Owner had a 1936 Packard Seadan. The ride was amazing. It just kinda floated down the road.. It had a straight Eight Engine, and you could not hear or feel it running I am sorry to say that I did not take a picture of it..
When I started working for a car rental company the boss gave me a set of keys and told me to drive the Packard to one of the dealerships. I wondered why their would be such an old car in their inventory. I couldn't find a single Packard in the parking lot.i came back into the office and told him there were no Packards in the parking lot.its the white one right outside the door he said.he walks out with me and points it out.its a Ford 16 passenger van.i asked him why the called it a Packard. He told me they call it a packer cause they can pack a lot of people in it.i wear hearing aids and when I had them replaced 3 weeks ago the guy told me that people with hearing loss will hear 90% of the conversation one on one.in a noisy environment only about 50% of the conservation.
It sounds About right....
Great set of a beautiful classic, Kim.
What a gorgeous classic, Kim!
About 16 years ago I called a lady on her cell that had a small ranch to let her know I was on my way to fix her phone line.i asked her if she had any dogs .she said,"no.all I have is a bunch of chows." And hung up.i though it was some kind of joke but drove there and got off my truck with a 6 foot stick and proceeded to the back of the house.i started testing the line and around that time she pokes her head around the corner of her house and says, " I see your found our place.i asked where were all her chows .she says," I don't have any chows.i have a bunch of cows."that's when I realized I may need some hearing aids.
That is one classy car. Great shots
Nice shots. Clark Gable once owned a Darrin Convertible. He hadn't had it very long when, on two occasions in a short period of time, the passenger door flew open as he went a round a corner. He took it back after the first time, they said it was fixed. After the second time, he took it back and left it...called it a pretty piece of junk. Some of the inroads the brand had made into the Hollywood crowd rapidly disappeared. Soon thereafter, Darrin folded.
Lovely set of images of a lovely car,
Dave.
Kim, I'd be interested in knowing the location where you manage to capture these true Classics! Wonderful photography on your part.

Most of these are from the annual Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Festival. Bay Harbor is a city built on the reclaimed land from a former cement factory just a few miles from Petoskey, Michigan. It is a really nice venue for this show that is comparable to any Concours d'Elagance. The great thing is that before the actual show starts at 10 a.m., the cars are all lined up on the side streets in preparation for the drive down Main Street on the "Red Carpet". I like to get there early to get the cars with a bit more space between them.
