Original image was taken back in 2009. I added the figure with the umbrella and created a shadow from that to anchor the figure to the street. Once the image was combined, I brought up the Shadows a bit and darkened down the highlights in the main sign. Finally, I converted the image to a Water Color by using Colin Smith's tutorial : https://photoshopcafe.com/revealing-hidden-features-in-photoshop-generative-fill-to-convert-photos-to-art-and-more/?ml_recipient=107669140906444753&ml_link=107596951087745021&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=2023-12-28&utm_campaign=I+stumbled+upon+hidden+ai+commands+in+Photoshop+

I used a Brightness opacity of 10%. Then using a mask I painted back in the details of the sign and figure.

The original has a moody appeal to it; but the watercolor effect and the added figure make the first image much more interesting. I love the effect you used and the shadow is really cool. I'll be going back and exploring the link you left. Thanks.

Beautiful Fstop. For me, who struggles with such things, your shadow is perfect.

Film noir in color. The mood is set and danger lurks.

For the young and not yet addicted to those old Sam Spade movies, Noir is the "style of filmmaking characterized by such elements as cynical heroes, stark lighting effects, frequent use of flashbacks, intricate plots, and an underlying existentialist philosophy. The genre was prevalent mostly in American crime dramas of the post-World War II era.

Interesting work there; the first, the result, is stunning.
