Has anyone else noticed a significant drop in participation on this forum since they stopped the Daily Digest? I wish they would bring it back.

Many here, including me, do not receive the daily email or use the digest. My understanding is that, as a 'digest,' it includes a sampling, but not all, of the full content. There are a number of other recent discussions of traffic and participation, but I seriously doubt that those are ever included in the digest.
There have also been discussions around the loss of members from the aged population here and other reasons why the folks who operate the forum are needing to reshape it in order to ensure that it is able to continue.

Go to your Profile and scroll down to “ Auto-expand digest filter by section” and check it. Your digest will then be presented by section. You then click on the section you wish to read and current topics for that section are presented. When you’ve read all you want in that section, click on the button at the bottom of the page, Clear Section Filter, and return to the listing of all your subscribed sections.

I have not noticed that, but I am one of them as it is a nuisance to go thru all of the items. In the pastbI looked at the discussion first in the morning and the pictures etc latter in the day. I can not do my review on my Iphone as when I look atb an item and return it goes back to the original page and I have to go back to the beginning and find my way back. Too bad the change, but it's still part of my day only it take longer.

Yes, I have. Significant. Fellow joggers can defend it 'til they're blue in the face, but I don't spend nearly as much time as I used to. As a matter of fact (I can't believe I'm saying this), but after 7 enjoyable years I'm slowly losing interest in the forum. I know, I know...who cares? I'm just saying.

I am not interested in a "digest/condensed" form of the Forum. The new format took some exploration but now it works quite well, I wish entries/issues/topics appeared chronologically so I don't have to wade through items I read yesterday.

The Ugly Hedgehog Forum seems as robust as ever to me. I don’t know about the Ugly Hedgehog Digest because I stopped using it years ago. Maybe participation in the Digest has dropped off because people have switched from the Digest to the Forum.

Aren't the new ones flagged as "new", mine are. "(new)" to the left of the thread title.
Then there is the option at the top to show unread only. Button right under the category title.
But then I'm not viewing The Digest, simply "Home".
