Tamron 150-600 G2, in SILVER?

I'm not looking to buy this lens as I already have one, but I happened to see it on a Google search. MPB has a used model in SILVER. Please don't tell me the owner got creative with a can of silver spray paint. Or, is there a service which will silver coat any lens? I am not aware of Tamron making silver coated lenses.

I think the photos are very high contrast making the lens look lighter than it actually is.

the description says "well used", so I'm guessing it's a black lens and the color wore off....

Hmmm....maybe...possibly to cover up the battle scars on the hood and front part of the barrel. But, a silver or white barrel G2 lens would be an interesting option. I know some put camouflage covering on these lenses.

It is pretty obvious by scrolling to the right and looking at the other three images. The last is most obvious.

I took a screenshot from the KEH page and darkened it.

I love this site. OK chrisg-optical, the lens in question is Black. As in charcoal Black, midnight Black.
OK, Optometrist's could be a cheap fix if you run into anymore White lenses.

Ok it's black - no problem - but why such a poorly exposed pic? MPB should know better. BTW Sirui has a line of lenses you can get them in white, silver and black. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1798136-REG/sirui_as_3s_zw_sniper_f_1_2_aps_c_auto_focus.html Kasey at Conspiracies did a review on one of the white versions. It's not too farfetched to have a silver lens. Like I said some cover these lenses with all kinds of designs.

Lenscoat will make coverings for the Tammy 150-600 G2 - not too farfetched.
