Hi all...
what is the best (powder?) for shiny spots on a persons face when shooting portraits without making them look pasty or unnatural? I know nothing about make-up..lol
I can help with this I think...first of all do not use any sort of sunscreen!!!...titaniaum dioxide etc. used in sunscreens will produce a shiny, greasy looking face in photos....there are HD foundations and powders made especially for tv etc. which smooth the complexion...go on youtube and put in bridal makeup (must photo well) and there are tutorials on makeup for brides and photos...gossmakeupartist.com has tutorials...also consult a trained makeup artist at the makeup counters in Macys etc...go to Barnes and Noble and find the beauty section...there are many books by makeup artists such as Bobby Brown which have sections on bridal makeup (again addressing the issue of looking good for photos)...there is no reason for a cakey powder look to prevent shine!!!
forgot to mention a website called camerareadycosmetics.com...you can speak to rep who will guide you to the correct cosmetics you need especially to avoid the shine...good luck
