Beautiful shots.
Reminds me of the Oregon coast during the winter.
Hi, Bob.
Thanks for the visit and nice comment. The only large area of our country I've never visited is the Oregon and Washington coastline. I know that area is beautiful....it's been on my bucket list a long time. I need to make it happen.

There is a driftwood beach on Jekyll Island, Georgia. Always gorgeous at twilight.
Hi Nancy.
Thanks for looking in. Actually, the shot with the tree standing upright was taken on Jekyll Island. The other two shots were taken on Little Talbot Island, Florida. Every year, my wife and I will spend a couple of nights on Jekyll Island, take that short drive and spend a couple of more nights on St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Thank you. I know you meant no harm. However, I think it's a wise policy for the forum to enforce. Uninvited intrusions can lead to contentious situations which benefit no one. You should consider posting that shot of your daughters and the driftwood tree. I found it interesting, others probably will as well.
Thanks for your reply, and I agree with your position, however, my approach is a little different than yours. A simple reply to my question asking you if you minded my post would have been sufficient to have me remove them, which I did include when I posted them. You chose to ask the moderators to remove them instead of asking me first. Not sure why you felt the need to do so when we could have kept it between us, as gentlemen. I do not need a diatribe, or to be scolded in a public or private forum. If I offend you, or anyone else for that matter, all I need is to be told of my offense, and I am the first to admit, apologize and correct.
I really like this forum, I have been a member for 9 years. There are a lot of really talented, experienced, knowledgeable and intelligent people. I have met some very generous folks who have helped me in my photographic capabilities. I, in return, like to help those who I can help.
What I strive to do is not be negative, didactic or aggressive in my approach with anyone. My approach is wrapped in kindness.
I am hoping we can get past my faux pas and move on in a proactive, mutually beneficial and friendly fashion.

Thanks for your reply, and I agree with your posit... (

I would think that, after 9 years of membership, you would know that posting pictures on another member's post, without permission, was inappropriate and in violation of the forum's guidelines. Yet, you proceeded to do that,
which left me in the uncomfortable position of taking the stance that I did. It's not my responsibility, after the fact, to ask you to remove your pictures which should never have been there to start with.

You are 100% correct. I have apologized to you many times, both publicly and through private messages. I corrected my error immediately. How long are you going to beat me up for a mistake that I made? By the way, sometimes, people make mistakes. We are not perfect.
I have acknowledged my error, corrected it, apologized and learned from it. Not much else I can do. I’m pretty much done with this. If you want to carry this further, that’s up to you. I am sorry I caused you discomfort. A simple reply to me asking you if you minded my post would have easily and quickly rectified the situation. It was your choice to bring in others. Now I think it was you that amplified and accelerated the discomfort. I’m done. Adios.
