On my monitor, there is nothing in this photo that is in focus. In your excitement to take the photo, did you, perhaps, incorrectly set the shutter speed to avoid camera shake?? Does your camera/lens autofocus or is it manual? Do you have a camera that you need to fine tune the lens to?
I hope you can figure out what the issue is so that this lens can do the job it's meant to.

Have to agree with Dodie on this one Cassidy.

hey so i had to order a tripod mount because i lost mine but it was the clearest picture that you can see what the picture was 😂 it’s a heavy lens. trust me i realised that i should have put this explanation after i posted it.
Everyone needs a challenge, this one certainly is yours, I hope to avoid a similar trap.

A good example of "you should look before you post"

It is good that you posted this. UHH is all about people learning. We'll never learn about what others think about our work if we just keep it to ourselves. A tripod would certainly have helped here. You might also think about creating diagonals in your composition. This is a tree branch and the actual orientation of the branch is less important than its orientation in the frame. You could have tilted this to create a diagonal from lower left to upper right. Keep shooting and keep posting, it is really cool to see how you have been progressing.

Or it could be troubles with the hook, line, or sinker . . . . .
If not I sincerely apologize.

The two respondents above nailed the problem with this photo.
