My best cameras for 2023 are from 2018. I can only afford to stay behind the curve, not ahead if it.
I'm still sticking with my D850. I bought the best camera at the time and it still serves me well. Love my drones but they aren't D850's; not even close.
I haven't seen anything that I use that my 850 can't do as well or better than any of these. Maybe some whistles and bells that I have never used but then why pay for something that you don't need. Seems to me there is an insurance add on television that says that, too bad it's an idiot that's saying it.
My 2 best cameras are both Sony's'. The Sony a99ii DSLR and my Sony RX10M4. Use the RX10 when I want to do a photoshoot and don't have the time to change lenses.

This is an article about cameras released in 2023, it is a point of reference for those who may be considering purchasing a new camera. It is good that you all are happy with your current cameras, but that fact is 100% irrelevant and off topic to my original post in this thread.
all me old school or a curmudgeon, I like the DSLR and will stay with it. I do not mind the "mirror slap" or the bulkiness or any of the other so called disadveantages of them. Plus, I don't want to spend my limited income on all new stuff that won't work with my old stuff.
