Christmas Eve

As part of my Christmas present from one daughter, I went to the Bears/Cardinals football game on Christmas Eve. It was a fun experience with my daughter. We had a good view of all the action and were entertained as we were seated in the midst of Bears fans who acted more like Neanderthals and Croods than civil fans. Add in that they were passing a vape around and sharing a plastic bottle that you can bet did NOT contain tea. It had been a lot of years since I last attended a Bears game. I will take a hockey crowd over a football crowd any day!

It’s nice you had good time - and good memories will last…

Merry Christmas - hope you have a wonderful day...

When I was in the service, our crew received complimentary tickets to a 49ers game - we left early because of the marijuana smokers - this was back in the 80s at Candlestick Park. We couldn’t risk secondary smoke in our system causing us to fail the routine drug screening. I don’t go to professional games (of any type) anymore - only high school and some small college games.

I hear ya.

I've found that times and (attitudes) about how to treat their bodies.
Traveling to the city to buy groceries, I amazed that in just about every trip in our vehicle,
we turn into a parking lot at the stores, and there is a "taint" of marijuana smoke coming
thru our air vent. It causes me to close ( the outside vents), to get a breath.
It makes me pause and I just laugh. I have to ask myself, "Are these times
so devastating and harsh to humanity, that people need to light up, inject or,
swallow a drug to subdue the best life available. for themselves?"

I have (at have at least two), grandchildren, that think that smoking pot or putting THC in
their [smoking devices], makes life so much more manageable. Our warnings go unheard
by their (mentally superior) minds.

I cringe at the thought that, laws change to the point where being high or under the latent
influence of pot or other drugs, is acceptable. I do not want to be on the freeway, while
vehicles that weigh 2-12 tons, hurdling toward me only 10 feet away, or sitting in a seat
of a 747 at 25,000 feet, while the pilots and their navigator are (right on the edge) of being
intoxicated and under the influence of a drug that has proven to misalign common sense,
and the ability to be at 100% alert while pushing the throttles forward to get their plane into
a "higher altitude" than they are feeling in their messed up brains.

I doubt that, even if, medical science eventually proves, that smoking pot, taking prescribed
drugs, or injecting a medicine for which it was not intended, will change the minds of those
that are bent on altering their brains use.

If medical research would find out that these drugs will cause them to have a shortened life,
they will [probably say], "it doesn't matter, to me."
Such is the mental health of our society today.

They do not think........They don't care anymore. Hope is only found in their minds while they
are high enough to forget their present life.

It saddens me.

They think so.

We live in a country that grew up on "plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is."

There are now perceived quick fixes for everything.

My opinion of my fellow citizens has dropped a lot in the past five years. The distrust of science and neglect of simple self-preservation is astounding.

I'm afraid the end ain't far off. Not the end of the world, just of America and our "old" values.
