Hahahahahaha - 10 pages of responses to a poll that is only relevant to Sony Alpha 7R IV owners.

And Leica M11s, which is probably an extremely small proportion of 61Mp cameras owners, so yes, you are 100% right!!!

Its well established that youre not expected to ever know why, so no hey problemo. Always be sure your light source is outside the frame.

I've seen these before. Again, Damned if I know why!?

I am not sure I agree with you. The broader the range of comments and the experiences shared, the better all of us are otherwise we become a sect, and in that case a sect of half-blind trying to guide the blind (unless you wish to exclude them too). The first rule of communication is exchange all the more as here you have very little idea of the audience except for the loudest one (which is not exactly the best rule of communication either). Far more than you think may just read and not comment, from the whole range of the audience. Hardly veiled insults such as "upturned nose" directed at people who might be more experts than you and may have a broad experience is the opposite of communication and as a result, using such a strategy, you put yourself in a very uncomfortable situation giving anyone any advice on communication. Most people, not just the "rib-munchers" and the authors of "poorly edited and highly compressed images", can really appreciate what this hobby is about and not just your friends and neighbours (if that were the case what are you doing here?). Let us chill out and be reasonable here.

Reasonable is " Gerald " properly responding to the one who INITIATED the insults... Don't you EVER get tired of Pompous folks like ID etc... Chest beaters and those who like to profess their knowledge ? my tongue in cheek response was intended to remind the Pomps that there are a majority of individuals in this group who will NOT speak up for fear of being ridiculed.. I actually have 3 camera systems and LOTS of lenses... Unfortunately I can't handle them all with a rib in my hand... I am just a mucker mullet but Too many people let pompous people like ID who writes with Thesaurus in hand to impress us so we are intimidated. THIS is NOT a working pro site... Last time I checked there was still freedom of reasonable speech. ID and his followers can insult me all they want . Another cold libation just adds more responses... CHEERS !

NO, obviously you misread MY comments... Maybe YOU, as a Working PRO, would be better suited for groups such as " peeps and Pixels ". You still don't get it ... YOU are missing the very first rule of communication. SPEAK TO YOUR AUDIENCE ! 99% of the folks on this site are NOT working Pros as you like to constantly remind us as well as your MANY awards and accomplishments. That upturned nose sucking in that rarified air can be dangerous to the gray matter. Myself, I am just a simple run of the mill bottom feeder who sits on my humble Alabama mountaintop back deck munching on ribs from my smoker and enjoying a cold libation while passing around on the net poorly edited and highly compressed images to friends, neighbors, etc... who really appreciate what this hobby is all about. CHEERS and BEST to you as well...

Will raising ones possession of pixel density and multiples of MP increases, aid in resolving such ambiguities?
😋 🤔 😉

If I had the money, I'd try a Sony A7RV ... but that will probably never happen.

On the other end, I'd like to try the last Olympus, the OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS OM-1. But that will probably never happen either.

For now, I love my old Sony A77. It works. It's paid for. I know how to use it.

"It works. It's paid for. I know how to use it."

Probably, for many of us, the most important statement in this thread to date.

61 meg ... Sony A7R-IV; Sony A7R-V, and now Sony A7CR.

Use all three for different tasks. The IV is set ups for studio tripod work, the V is my mobile super camera especially because of the Origami like LCD screen; The A7CR is a recent add because these others have gotten a bit big & bulky and harder to fit into a small take-with bag.

I decided to NOT pay $9200 for a 60 meg Leica M11 and opted for the A7RC to use with my Leica M lenses.

Being one of the rare career photographers on UHH is not whaz wrong with him. Hes simply a narcisist with miserable communication "skills" ... which acoarst strongly hints that his claims to "pro cred" are significantly exagerated.
