All I want.....
Great photograph. I like it.
But I don't understand, with all of the Help Wanted sighs all across our great land why would someone stand on a corner trying to get a job. Why not follow through on the Help Wanted signs.

Could almost be taken in the ‘30’s! We have the same conundrum of folk needing work/small businesses looking for hands here in the UK. I take Dennis’ point but there must be some underlying reason why it happens. I need to get my Woody Guthrie albums out, there may be some answers there I’ve forgotten!
No doubt the influx of border crossings will help to mitigate his circumstances.
Such a compelling sequel to your endearing
Travelin' rendering joel...
You are indeed a master of
"Street" genre...
I totally
get this, albeit seems that it may possibly have fallen on fallow soil here...
In the
Spirit of Dorothea Lange's iconic image of Florence Owens Thompson i.e. her immortal
(Migrant Mother) which opened America's eyes to the plight of those caught up in the throws of the
Great Depression Having been been there... It is such a long arduous climb back up to any semblance of normalcy...
Again thank you so much for sharing the poignant latent beauty of your Craft Joel.
Wishing you much continued you success with your noble mission...
And much Joy on your journey Joel...
Cheers! Thomas

Getting through the hiring process for most jobs is a nightmare these days. Multiple interviews by multiple people, any one of which can give a candidate a fatal thumbs down, screening tests, etc. Most of the folks you see like that guy have a background issue, an education issue, are homeless, etc. They are looking for any job, a subsistence job, just enough work to get their next meal or two and a few bites for their dog. It hurts my heart to see people in that situation.
