I feel sorry for the UPS drivers. I've been getting packages delivered at 7:00 PM and later. Yesterday, I was supposed to get five items delivered by 9:00 PM. They never showed, and they're scheduled to arrive tonight by 9:00. I hope the driver didn't leave the terminal at 7:00, with the other drivers.

My regret is that between UPS & FedEx, & Amazon, I didn’t invest in a cardboard company.

I have quite a bit of cardboard here. Sometimes, I use the boxes for storage, sometimes I bring them to be recycled, and sometimes, I cut them up and use them as kindling.

Last week, I got two deliveries from UPS the same day. The driver was in a non-UPS vehicle (his own??). Had a UPS ID showing him as a jumper. First time I ever got a package not delivered by a brown truck. They must be overloaded.

I talked to one of my former workers and I couldn’t believe he was sending back rental trucks already usually not sent back to Christmas Eve years ago

I can tell they're overworked at present. They're losing about 25% of my orders!

I went to a fairly large USPS office on Friday and it was swamped with folks, many mailing/sending multiple packages. Most of us don't have a clue to the volume the USPS is handing this time of year. Overall, we are getting letters/cards in a day or two after the post mark dates.

I think USPS is doing a terrific job overall.

Same goes for Canada Post.

If you really want a critical package deliverd on time (and it’s not Amazon Prime), FedX next day Air (NOT ground) is still the answer. I really needed a draft inducer motor blower wheel for my dead Carrier furnace. Ordered it late Friday from a Michigan company, paid for nest day Saturday delivery ($43) and the FedX guy was knocking at my door at 10 AM Saturday morning. And 10 minutes later I had heat in a very cold house.

This weekend my wife suggested we invest in cardboard box company. I found one that has fundamentals look good

I thought it was odd that packages were "Out for Delivery" yesterday - Sunday. Not surprisingly, they didn't arrive. They're still listed (three days now) as "Out for Delivery by 9:00 PM."

Our son worked for Prime for a while.
He drove on of their step-van's.
He was out as late as 10pm making deliveries.
They also sent him down streets so narrow he couldn't turn the truck around.
He also had to block traffic on some of those roads because they were so narrow.
He did it for a week or so, then said this is ridiculous and quit.
