F8 ... 1/250 ... ISO-500

or

Something else.

Take the picture and post it, which should generate a lot of interaction.

or

Is it a pink or yellow flower?

Be certain the lens cap is on tightly, then all photos will be perfect no matter what settings are chosen.

(P.S. --- be sure to remember to use ground black pepper, not black coffee grounds)

Just beware of the possibility that diffraction could influence the image.

Ask someone to take it for you.

That would only work if someone could understand what he asks for.

More study of Victor Borge's inflationary language and phonetic punctuation could be quite helpful.

They are asking what settings to use. They just aren't giving enough information for anyone to make the decision.

Hi Carl, what my comrades here are saying is they need a little more information so as to be able to accurately advise you of what settings to use. What are you asking about, shutter speed? aperture? ISO? White balance? Other?

Did you mean black background? If so, it's the lighting that's important. The flowers should be in sunlight, and the background in the shadows. It may also require some processing to further darken the background. The settings should be for best exposure for the flowers.

Flowers in hard light? Do tell.

I shoot flowers in sunlight or direct flash often.
