Good thing Trump was president before this happened, what a horrible Bill.

From your response, I see that you are against democracy and would give the President dictatorial powers.
I didn't expect that, but at least I'm much clearer as to who you really are.

That’s just dumb, it’s called using the power of executive orders. Remember Biden use 42 executive orders in his first 100 days while Trump used 29 executive orders in his first 100 days. Let me ask you this, was it democracy that got us into NATO or was it our representatives or was it a president?

By the way, had this bill passed before Trump was in office, he would have zero leverage to force the lacking NATO members to pay up their $100 BILLION in late back payments they all owed. Trump used the thrrat of leaving NATO to get that ball rolling. Presidents need leverage when it comes to these issues.

Goodness, that wasn't the point. You always go off on a tangent. The point was VERY CLEAR, Trump used the leverage of threatening to leave NATO as a member to get the NATO members to pay up what they owned. To where it goes wasn't the point.

Sorry for the typo Dennis ..oh sorry Rac.

Yes it is important if you really understood how NATO is funded. The $ 100 B is the total of the “ goals “ each NATO country set as their target to spend on their own defense budget. It was “owed” ( not owned as you said ) to no one. It was a goal and never a bill or rule .
