The attached photos are of the same area with different crops. Which one would you select to tell the story and, if you are inclined to share your thoughts, why?
I like the second one Mike but you need to crop out the people shadows on the right
The angle of the waves is very appealing. I like the wider view of #1, but without the people. Whatever they're interested in doesn't really interest me, lol. For me it's all about the water, waves, beach and shadows - a serene and secluded cove.
Can you use generative fill to make the humans disappear?
With #2 it might be easier to change the shadows into something not recognizable as human. Now that I study it, seems the tree shadows on the left aren't falling correctly, based on the others. Maybe because the tree is hanging so far out over the beach?
Did you stitch this as a multi-shot pano? I see a sharp "break" of the wave action on the left side.

It is an iPhone shot that I used the "Pano" setting. I agree that generative fill would be a good fix.
If the purpose of the cropping is to eliminate the people then obviously #2 is the best option - unless you can get the suggested AI object removal to work well enough. Personally I don't have a problem with the people since they are a common sight on beaches and I prefer the better balance of #1.

I went back and looked at the original. I did not merge to make a pano. It is either an artifact of the iPhone or the way the waves intersected.

That was my impression, but I wanted to see how others viewed the scene.

How did you do that, Terry?

Generative Fill in Photoshop, Mike. I did it twice, and this was the one I liked the best.
