That is pretty incredible!
It still amazes me when I see my AutoISO head upwards of 12,800, but I still push the shutter button.

Great result, especially with iso that high
Thanks for that. Just in my short photography career (less than 15 years) the strides have been amazing.

Excellent result!
You need to go to Panama next.

Wow! Some kind of shot! Especially under those conditions!!
Thanks for that. I was pleased; I no longer even think about sacrificing shutter speed for ISO.

Gorgeous photo, impossible with film.
With ISO values achievable today f/ stops are not for light gathering but for depth of field.
No longer saving fir that f/.01 lens
Absolutely not. I guess that is why Canon is so willing to introduce these zooms that are relatively slow.

Very nice, what is it?
Streak-chested Antpitta. Antpittas are a widespread family of birds in Central and South America. They can fly, but prefer to stay on the ground. They are most comfortable in very dark surroundings and are most active about 1 hour before dawn and 1 hour after dusk. You can hear them all around you, but they are tough to see.

Nice picture.
but smooth background more of a distraction than a compliment to the subject.
Texture is wonderful thing.

Thank you. Not sure I agree with your thought; for me it depends on the setting. In this case, it was amazing this bird came out into a clearing about 3' in diameter. Otherwise it would have been a tangled mess of vines and sticks. With that type of BG, even when OOF, it is distracting to me.
Cool looking little bird. Great shot too!
Very nice capture and post work. Retained some great detail. It is amazing what can be done today as compared to 5-7 years ago & beyond. I appreciate you including all the gear & settings also. Hoping to upgrade possibly in 2024. ISO would probably been over 20k had you have to shoot at f6.3 or smaller.
Nice shot ! good example - tho, I would crop some off the top.
ISO is also a state of your finances ! Yes, the latest full frame camera with enough focal length/speed, and enough hardware/software and knowledge to apply it can give GOOD results - the rest of us have to watch our ISO like a hawk. 8-( ......lower ISO makes life much simpler/cheaper.
