Thanks to both of you for your comments. Paul...one reason I am asking these questions is that it's my money, not hers. And I agree about the R6ii being a better choice than the R6. But the more moderate resolution of the R6ii seems a better choice than the R5.
Lens-wise, I want her to try for herself and see whether a 24-70 seems to offer any advantages over a 24-105. And for a (hopefully) long-term working setup, the L lens strikes me as a better choice, but that might not be correct for her.
Anyway...we'll see where this ends up going.
Thanks again to both of you.

Look at the Canon 5d mk iv. Maybe with a 70-200 f2.8 IS II lens or maybe an 85mm lens. JMHO.
Entirely purely NOT what they are looking for.
*You* may be lusting after that kit, in which case *you* should buy that ... despite all the advices against it. Its a standard UHH dream kit from some years ago, and it is quite a bit cheaper now that its obsolete. So, go for it !

I think if I were shooting documents/prints/paintings or other flat objects, a flat field macro lens would be the lens of choice.

There will be some of that, and I agree completely. But mostly it will be not that.
Not lusting for it at all, have that and more.
