Fstop's sexy babe with an umbrella reminded me of Morton Salt Gal. I commented on that..."Sarah Peldon, better known as Morton Salt Girl, has grown into one very sexy lady." Thank you Fstop.

The Image-Story in my mind: Her Granddaughter works for the Morton Salt PR department and has a mod-attitude about posing. The three images are shown here as one... but it is meant to be a triptych, made up of three pieces or panels. Separated the sightly different heights and angles of view would go unnoticed.

Help!! I am lacking a title... any suggestions. One I thought of was the Virginia Slims Phillip Morris Company ad... I am sure it turned little Johnny** on... ‘You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby’.

Every Virginia Slims ad put a woman front and center, independent, stylish, confident, and liberated. The Morton girl, Sarah Peldon's, great-granddaughter in my narrative works for the famed Leo Burnett Agency that capitalizes on shifting attitudes.

**History: The small busboy who called out "Call for Philip Morris". In my 1960's Celanese Fiber days as a Supervisor of their Cigarette Filter Lab, I traveled to all the cigarette manufacturers introducing my, now world-standard measuring instrument. On one trip, I met Johnny Roventini. Yep, he was "height challenged." He worked as a bellboy at the New Yorker Hotel in 1933 when he was discovered by an advertising mogul, and represented Phillip Morris for 40 years.

Self-critique: The lead judge at the Tampa Bay Camera Club, in spirit, sits on my left shoulder and examines my work. First, I should always let the work get cold... time separates my work making it someone else's; time makes the image and/or writing less personal and thus open to my seeing with a critical eye. I did this late last night waiting for the pressure-cooked chicken to finish cooling.

The modern gal salt image is the only one needed to get the "we've come a long way" message across, the other two could have been referenced. The background [granulated salt] to the container border is ragged. The modern "select tool" or classic Topaz Remask would have done a neat job, clone was not the wise choice.

The modern gal image is good considering the beginning online image... but... using Topaz Gigapixel would have improved it greatly. the adjustment of size to fit the space to replace the girl in the middle image was correctly done.

Summary: waiting a week would have been wise, I would not have embarrassed myself before a group I respect.

I like the comparison of the three; however, "You've come a long way, baby" suggests that women are no longer primarily seen as sex objects, which sadly isn't true in many cases, including the way you chose to dress this one.

I fully relate to your late-night vs. clarity of next-day dilemma, Don. I've been known to delete a topic from D.A. before anyone has commented

All good, though. We love having you here and enjoy your participation very much!
