How is appealing to SCOTUS e******n i**********e. The appeals court is mostly irrelevant as no matter which way it rules it will be appealed to scotus. Now, why not tell us why it's OK for Paxton to try to sentence a woman to death for wanting to abort a fetus that cannot live and that carrying to term will cause her great damage if not death. I'll not insult you, but take it from me, you have earned it.

Given the evidence against Trump, wouldn't NOT prosecuting him in a timely fashion constitute e******n i**********e? If criminal charges were now pending against Joe Biden, wouldn't Trump and his supporters now be screaming that NOT prosecuting Biden before the e******n would constitute e******n i**********e?

Running for office does not, nor should it, suspend criminal justice. We are a nation of laws, and no one, not a sitting or former President, is above them. (The same Trump supporters arguing now that the trial should not occur before the e******n were the same people who chanted "lock her up" eight years ago, even though Clinton had never even been indicted for anything.)

Since Trump supporters believe Trump is innocent and the charges are a political witch hunt, they should want the trial to quickly occur so that a jury will have rendered a not guilty verdict in advance of the e******n, removing the criminal cloud h*****g over Trump. Why aren't they eager for the world to see how flimsy they believe the Special Counsel's evidence is? Wouldn't an "innocent" verdict propel Trump to the Presidency?

Perhaps the real reason Trump supporters don't want the trial before the e******n is what they know deep in their hearts to be true ...

Don't you believe in equal justice for all? Do you know Wray, the FBI MFIC, said he couldn't bring charges because of the timing of the e******n. Now that should work for Trump also shouldn't it? Democrats are trying everything in their little play book to keep Trump off the ticket. There are states that are trying the same B.S. to keep him off the ticket. Now if you don't think they're trying everything to keep him off the b****t you're blind. The DNC is scared s**tless because they know he has a very good chance. BTW putting everyone in one box, "Trump supporters" isn't overly smart. They all have their reasons for backing Trump and they are not all the same.

I understand. You apparently believe in your heart that Trump is guilty and are therefore scared to death of trials before the e******n. As for me, I will wait for juries to decide, and hope they do so in a timely fashion before the e******n so v**ers will better understand whether what we are seeing are witch hunts or substantive criminal prosecutions.

But if you want to criticize "little play books," you might instead turn your criticism to the Biden pre-impeachment investigation, where no evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors has yet been produced in spite of the wet dreams of hyper-partisan Trump supporters in the House, where their expected "star witnesses" have so far all been total busts.

I was questioning NP's logic in evidently supporting Smith's desire to do an end run around the appeals court. The wheels of justice move slowly from time to time but why not let the process run its course?
