Lake Betz, RTP, NC, early November.
Ruddy and Mallard ducks. Other photographers posted pictures of the Hooded merganser and the toy-like Wood duck, but I wasn't as lucky. And in all fairness, I did not make that many trips to the lake (or others in the area) to improve my chances of a rarer sighting.

The Ruddy is one of my favorite ducks, don’t see many up in the NE, great shots!
