This first series of photos from Costa Rica will consist of iPhone shots because I can process them the fastest. In later posts of my full-size camera shots, some similar images may occur.
I found as we hiked and boated around Costa Rica that many times when you had your long lens on a strap, photo ops would occur. These shots are not the quality you can usually achieve with a full-size camera, but many times they are the only chance you will get. As a group, we became very adapt at even passing iPhones when the photo op was on the wrong side of a boat, zodiac or even some trails.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Nice shots.
I see absolutely no problem with their "quality".
Maybe some have preconceived notions/opinions?

Thanks, Bill, some shots will fail the "pixel peeper" standard.
It's a nice set, Mike. Not the quality you usually post but I understand why.
You did really good, Mike.
Great set Mike, I look forward to seeing your trip photos

Thank you, Jim, I am working on them right now.
The first butterfly image is my favorite.
Great eclectic set, Mike. You captured an extremely diverse group of subjects. Loved seeing the little bats hanging around. Beautifully done.
Great photos Mike. I like the first butterfly and the pit viper.

The butterfly shot is as sharp as anything . Like i said before in some situation , an I phone can do just fine if not better then a conventional camera .
