Veteran, yes. Gung Ho, never was and never will be. I wasn’t there but I remember the significance of the day and the life lost. We kicked their rear end when we finally caught up tho. They woke the “Sleeping Giant”.
And then the giant went back to sleep and stayed sleeping even to this day

Another generation they won't remember sht. That's what their brains will be.
Those who have not served are less likely to remember and appreciate the sacrifices made by those who did serve.
Blessed is the "Greatest Generation". I find it strange that we are the only nation to use a nuclear bomb against another nation and now we fear that one may be used against us.

I’m a not a gung ho Veteran. I did what I did because that’s what I had to do. I am proud of my service, but feel no need to parade it.
I remember Pearl Harbor, but I don’t remember the Maine.
well, said.
Christmas, to me, isn't a (true) joy, until I give honors to those that have fallen, and December 7th,
is more than my own birthday, date.
I went into Navy boot camp on the 4th of December, (1967).
We were not allowed to ever forget, December 7th, 1941.
I had friends (that have now passed), that were present at Pearl Harbor.) One had a brother
was killed by the Japanese on that day. He would never allow me to forget that infamous day
of the "wake up, call" to free American citizens.
America has forgotten, that the sleeping giant, took months to recover, (mentally) and spiritually.
It would seem so, to me.
Gug ho, isn't the world......Ever vigil, seems to be the key.
Never turn your backs on a snake, (even though), it appears to be sleeping.
I get that.
Maybe they will "Woke up" when America has to reinstate the draft for soldiers, again.
