Yes, they were amazing. I was hoping catch a viewing but set low expectations. I was lucky that night was great. Thank you

Truely breathtaking, especially the first one! Nice work!

YEs, they were. I am glad I was able to capture it because after the show I felt mesmerized or hypnotized.

The difference in the colors may have more to do with the camera sensor versus you eyes sensitivity to red at night. Spectacular series.

I’ve seen lots of northern lights and I’ve seen lots of red in them. I remember when I was a kid in Fairbanks, Ak, in the ‘50’s, when the auroras simply turned the sky solid red. I’ve never seen it that way since. But yeah, the camera’s sensor picks up things the eye doesn’t catch.

Yes, I had made a red light to mount on my head to avoid white lights. Unfortunately there were many tours and too many people with lights on on their phones. Our eyes can't adjust that quickly. Thank you

Back then the 50s I imagine you also didn't have to go very far to get to good dark spot. Maybe the low light polution then would allow the "reds" to show up more? I know the other "Reds" as in the CCCP were more prevalent too!
