Photographed the game, but it seemed as if a lot of the images I got, just didn't meet MY standards. But I got a few I could live with. Shot these with a Z9 fit with the Tamron 35-150 f2-f2.8. I primarily shot in shutter priority of 1/1000-1/1250. ISO around 3200. I am positioned against the glass, a little to the side of the goal allowing me to capture the team bringing the puck down the ice and up against the glass. Never thought I would say it, but this lens is becoming my stalwart! BTW - this game was a rarity in that there was not a single fight! LOL!

I particularly like the “puck in flight “ shots.

This is nice work here. Maybe try shooting in manual. Your camera can work very nicely using a higher iso. I would wonder if you have tried different settings? Again good stuff.

Thanks, Jules.I switch back and forth between shutter priority and manual. At last night's game, I shot in manual. I also vary my ISO from a fixed 2500 - 3200 to start at 3200 and use auto ISO. Aperture I generally shoot as wide open as the lens allows. However, next game I am going try shooting around f4 and see what happens. It is always an adventure! About time I think I found THE settings, some little thing changes that results in a little tweaking.

Yes once you find what works best for you, from there it's just concentrating on the shots.
