Photos taken with my Samsung 23S ultra. They were taken at a good distance well over 25 yards. There was a man made lake so some have a reflection.

Christmas lights are always fun and a challenge to photograph. Nice reflection in the lake. Thanks for sharing.

I think the lights were blown out but they were so bright and the night was dark. Tried to reduce in photoshop but could not do much. Overall at the distance and the hard lighting the phone did a great job. Thanks for looking and your kind comments

One of the things that cellphone cameras have a hard time dealing with is just what your situation was. I suppose in the near future the AI built into these cameras will be able to render such lighting so as to prevent blown out highlights. Even with a regular camera bright lights like these so overwhelm the scene that it becomes impossible to cut down the light without underexposing the rest of the scene. These were so bright that even Photoshop couldn’t fix it.
Thanks Greg hope you are right and they will be able to correct this in the future. Appreciate your comments

I suppose when they receive enough similar complaints they will address it and work to solve it.

I agree, nice reflection on the water.
Christmas lights are always pretty and you also got a nice reflection.

Thanks for your kind comment. Was interesting with the bright light and dark background. The think that amazed me was the distance well over 25 yards and the telephoto worked great. Have a great week

Those bright lights are a PITA. They are completely blown out which is why you couldn't recover any of the detail in PP. Back when I was shooting with my DSLR my camera would allow me to shoot multiple images at different stops. My old Nikon D300 would allow 9 exposures. So the camera captured the highlights, the mid-tones and the dark. Later on in PP you could combine them to get the correct exposure. The Smartphones are there yet but they are getting better with each new model.

Yes I do that with my Sony also. Bracket the exposures and the combine them in photoshop to get the best results from all. Our phones will have that one day I hope. Was happy to have the phone with me as I got some nice shots of my two year old niece on her first small train ride. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks again for the advice and looking.
