I've seen a few of those. And just south of Florence where there is a huge stand of really nice saguaros, there are several without their tops. I assume the same thing happened to them!

There’s a bit of a mystery there with that chunk missing. I like the high contrast B&W look that is more, IMHO, interesting than if it were in color. Nicely composed and presented, and the iPhone 15 Pro did a good job with a good eye on the part of the photographer.

Great shots both can not pick a favorite between the B&W and color. Like them both I 15 and photographer did a great job. Sure you did not get hungry and take the bite out of it.

The color version is nice, too, but I still prefer the B&W version. It’s gritty and moody.
