Trouble with Exporting to Neo from LRC and then exporting back to LRC

I have contacted Skylum support but they were of no help. I can export from LRC to Luminar Neo, but when I want to export back, I do not see the export in LRC or on my hard drive. Was wondering if anyone had the same problem and how they fixed it? Thank you in advance

Not sure the term export is correct. When in LR you do an "edit in" Neo(I'm assuming neo can run from LR) and when you are done in Neo(exit/save/whatever) it returns back to LR. Export is kind of reserved for pulling your photos out of LR for printing or posting...

bioteacher - ^^^^^^ this, above, from pithydoug ^^^^^ You don't export, you 'edit in' via the definition of an external editor inside LR.

Saving the photo is done under the EXPORT function. Go to the Luminar Neo label in the upper left corner, choose File, choose export-It shows you where it is going to export. You can choose another place for it to go and then complete the action. Works like a charm for me.

I do my editing in Neo, but after editing I hit apply but it does not show up in LRC. Any suggestions?

Apply simply makes the adjustment to the photo in Neo. You need to "exit" Neo to get the photo back to LR.

As others have suggested, you might invoke neo from within LR and just do a save before returning.

However the export should save the image as a file; probably you want to save as a .tif file if you expect to edit further. I suspect you may be saving to an unexpected folder, perhaps the "pictures" folder the Microsoft likes to use.

I do this kind of editing when working on a large batch of photos, though Topaz Studio is usually my outside editor. In LR I do the initial adjustments, sorting and choosing the photos with promise. I save the good ones as .tif files and then go to Topaz Studio to do the final (or sometimes intermediate} editing. Usually it works fine, but on occasion I find the intermediate files somewhere unexpected because I was not careful enough about setting the destination. I suspect this is what is happening to you.

The batch editing work-flow has a couple advantages. The first is that it seems faster, missing the delays each time the editing software is swapped. The second is psychological; each editor requires a different mind-set and the batch editing avoids the frequent swapping between different skill-sets.

Suggestions?

google editing in lightroom and neo

You'll get much more effective help reading and / or watching training videos, doing your own research and training, than the UHH could ever provide via a disjointed Q&A. None of us can see your computer, nor watch what you're doing, nor ask pointed 'why' questions.

I see 10s to 100s of seemingly useful responses to the google query above.
