We took off and went camping/hunting for the week of Thanksgiving in the Centennial Valley/Mountains. This area is located just outside of Monida MT, which is located on the MT/Idaho border. The town of Monida only has 6 permanent residences and the elevation is over 6700 feet. We camped at about 7000 ft. We rode the side-by-sides this trip but for the past 25 yrs, I used to ride my horses thru these mountains. Beautiful country with the chance of seeing all kinds of critters - elk, deer, moose, bears, wolves, coyotes and more. We didn't see much this trip in terms of critters. But we sure did have a blast!

Camping at 7000 feet in November ARE YOU CRAZY???
Killer good, Cindy. Just killer.
(Counter to Cheep's quip above, you are clearly not crazy. But what would a squid like him know about the joys of cold weather/high-ish altitude camping anyhow?)

Yes, yes we are a little crazy! One of our friends had to have their truck towed because it wouldn't start in the cold...about 10 below in the mornings and warmed to about 25 during the days but that sunshine was beautiful.

Thanks! I knew you would understand the ttthhhrrrillll (ok that's my attempt at shivering while talking
) of camping in cold weather!

Did y’all get any elk?
No luck this trip but the hubby got an elk in archery season, so we have meat in the freezer for another year.

HEY Now!! I've camped!! OK, not high-ish. But a bunk ten feet below the flight deck is STILL well above Sea Level!!! At least sixty feet!! And in ALL months of the year too!
But he's right about ONE thing, Cindy...Killer Good!!
Excellent set, Cindy! Tell hubby that his frosted beard is much more presentable than mine after a cold day of skiing.
