Fantastic set John. I remember the “wintry mix” from growing up in NYC and I don’t miss it a bit!
Many thanks, Mark! Didn't know that you grew up in NYC. Yes, then you are familiar with the conditions. You've become soft (LOL).
Thanks for the thumbs, Karin!

Gail is chilled when the temp outside goes below 60 degrees. We used to walk to the subway together on mornings below freezing and she wouldn't say a word!
[quote=GreyOwl40]We had a heavy, wet snowfall last night and this morning (32F), so I decided to drive downtown to take a few photos. Under such conditions it is always somewhat of a challenge, as parking is a problem at the best of times, but especially so with many of the streets clogged and snowploughs everywhere. With the wet snow just on the border of turning to rain, I knew that I would get soaked (which I did). I did find a parking spot and walked around for the better part of an hour. Thanks for posting these GreyOwl. I had no idea about the age and how well the city is preserved.
You are a brave and hardy man John. Fine shots also!

Thank you, Bluefish! Yes, the old part of the city is quite attractive. If you see pictures from 70 or 80 years ago it shows that much of the area has been revitalized. Many of those old buildings were in somewhat deplorable condition from what I can tell. Tourism to the rescue!
Unfortunately in a good part of Upper Town, the push to modernize and replace everything with concrete, prevalent in the 60s, resulted in many old beautiful residences being torn down.

Many thanks, PAR4DCR! Today that is a challenge; years ago, in my youth, I would have thought nothing of it. I almost shut off the alarm and stayed in bed.
