Must be approaching winter. . . .
Tho he did not want his picture taken, you captured the story in shadow. Shadows are a fact of life and photography. In this case you have taken advantage of them.
How would this image look if done in B&W or variations there [eg. sepia] of as enabled in Topaz BW-2... downloadable as a 30 day if you do not already have it.
I am a bit bothered by the thin black line which is not part of the main message o f shadow. aaaa clone in the tool box is useful for removal.
A fun edit!
One of the pleasures of winter for those of us far from the equator: long shadows, low angle of "golden hour" sun which becomes several hours (and of course snow, rain and ice).
It appears you traced the thin leash shadow (and filled in your dog's shadow) to be thicker and darker. Any interest in shooting against a simpler background that could be extracted and replaced with something fanciful? Schedule more playtime into your day
Flying Three, you have motivated me to do a photo in which the shadow is the woman and the standing woman is a gray shadow. "But a Shadow of Who She Was" preferably a shorter high impact Title.
My TZ100 book has both a Table of Contents and an Index. I go to the Index and look up Time laps and immediately I have the page numbers to find the info, great. In contrast, I have a Book on Paintshop Pro 2023, true it has an Table of Contents, but no Index so it is semi useless!!! I will write the author and give him my critique of his book's lacking of a quick reference Index.
Aaaa video tutorials...that will show me. No, not yet, I watched one video tutorial on shadows and unfortunately the control sequence is hard to follow because the hands on the controls move so fast reminding me of the "Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsakov "
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M93qXQWaBdESo, Flying Three, and others in UHH, Digital Artistry section, tutorial on making a shadow from a standing person or object... preferably with step-wise text direction?

What a cute idea! Shadows make for some of the greatest shots. Not too sure of the black leash line you drew. It may not have been necessary. Your pooch looks like he'd follow you anywhere!
Thanks for commenting everyone. I didn't "make" the shadows. I simply used the late winter afternoon sun to my advantage. Here is one without the leash, and a flavorful one as B&W didn't do it for me . . . .

Flavorful, fanciful, eye-catching colors!
I'm thinking "make the shadows" would refer to drawing the squiggly line representing the leash shadow in your first post?
