That’s actually pretty good. It demonstrates that you can catch a photo of a moving subject, but at the same time illustrates a shortcoming of a smartphone camera—obtaining sharp focus of a fast moving subject. Good object lesson here for those who shoot moving subjects and are contemplating moving to using just a smartphone camera. Good idea, but don’t get rid of your regular camera if this is your genre.

Good capture but maybe you could adjust the shutter speed on the phone and raise the f stop for a sharper photo and better depth of field. Looks like it did not focus where you wanted it. Have a great weekend

If I am anticipating movement of a bird or animal, I usually shoot in Burst Mode, hoping that at least one of the images will be in focus.

I did not intend to capture BIF so the shutter was set at 1/1000 adequate for perched birds. The main problem is framing of the subject and the depth of the crop.

Looks good on my phone, but not on the computer.

I agree with F Stop burst mode could be a big help with framing and DOF.

I can’t account for why the bluejay looks ok on your phone but not the computer, but there is a difference. Could it be how the image was processed by the computer or the software used to download it?

IN taking another look at it, the image on the phone isn’t any better than the one on the computer. When I expanded it to the approximate same size as the original shot you posted, it looks the same, so it appears that the computer image is just large enough to reveal that the bird isn’t quite sharp at it appears in the image on the phone.
